The Hackborn Park

This used to be a watering pond out in the middle of a horse pasture.

The creek was created by pumping water out of the pond; it has the practical purpose of keeping the pond water from stagnating.

Looking up the creek, you can see the waterfall that feeds it.

A close-up of the waterfall. Water pumped from the pond comes out right behind these rocks.

Waterlillies were planted in the basin of the waterfall. I think this is my favorite of all the pictures I have taken.

A stone bench behind the pond.

The path along the right side of the pond.

Looking the other way along the path.

Behind and to the right of the pond is a dry creek.

Some big stone used for accents.

The stone monument.

Close-up of some of the stone work on the house itself. This is the outside of a fireplace.

Stone facing that is on some of the exterior walls.
